Coming from a catholic family ( I am no longer a catholic though) I remember my grandma preparing anything but meat on fridays and not just on lenten season. I wonder if the new generation still practise the Friday-eat-no-meatday?
I never followed my grandma’s tradition siguro kung buhay lola ko, panay sermon inabot ko , though I have tried this lent. I just believe that what comes in and goes to the stomach does not make a person spiritually clean or dirty but what comes out of the mouth and being spoken (tongue kills) and one’s thoughts…that’s where the danger lies.

Friday I chose to make Chicken Congee (Lugaw with chicken wings) and bean curd (tofu) with soya sauce/citroen dip. I was surprised because both my husband and dad-in-law ate the congee. What about you my blog neighbours who are married to americans and europeans, ever fed them rice porridge? If you are a practising catholic and your spouse is not, do you allow them to have meat on fridays?

See those fun stuffs on top? Those were gifts from friends…yes I consider them friends though we only met through blogging and forum board. I once told friend number one that I collect beanie babies (or would love to try to because it isn’t easy finding them bunch here in Holland) and voila! she sent me my very first beanie “Daniellé”, the brown baby on the right and she followed it by sending me another baby, “Maximo” the cute one on the left side. And then few days ago, I received a wonderful card from friend number two, see that dressed in pink with bow and arrow chimp? I really laughed hard when I saw it, that was so cute! Together with the card was the bulldoggy in the middle, that’s “Bruno” (I decided that he’s italian, he he)
I really just want to say THANK YOU again ladies ( you know who you are) Your babies are doing well with me, even sleep with me sometimes (dear readers, ehem…. please unraise those eyebrows! I’m still young at heart you know ha ha guilty ba?)
But I’ve a question though, what’s with stuff animals/dolls and women? Yes, those adult girls, you know. Or am I alone in this? Am I the only adult woman who still sleeps with them?
I wonder.

I made it before the ’schedule’…this is now my official site (address.) I’m not totally done yet as I’m what others call” maarte” sa totoo lang maarte talaga ako.. I can never be satisfied with all those free templates around ..please don’t get me wrong, I think most of them are really nice!…it’s just that I prefer my own design, ugly or not at least I can call it mine.
