I probably need to wear specs again, darn! how I wish Im back in the Philippines right now so that I can make one for myself instead of getting one here.. the price difference is just outrageous while there’s not much difference in quality!
But okay, if I really need one, I’ll get one. Maybe I’m just a bit annoyed because my husband might need one too, he’s told me earlier about his difficulty when focusing or reading at near distance. If both of us need specs, tsk tsk that’s expensive!

It’s saturday and here I am blogging! Oh I’m a bit disappointed too that my friend got sick today while we’ve planned to go to the next city and maybe ‘celebrate’ the queen’s (of holland) 25th year anniversary as the land’s matriach. Thwarted plans, such timing to become sick..I hope she feels better soon. But okay, the day turned out productive instead, husband and I finally tended our garden and it’s looking pretty clean now.. I thanked God for the dry weather today, that’s a plus that kept me smiling (at least.)

Update on Charlie and his lady duck friend. What has happened few days ago really thought him a lesson. Now when he sees the she-duck or any duck for that matter, daig pa nakakita ng punso!..ever seen people back in the Philippines who believe in ’small people’ ‘duende’ or nuno sa punso that when they see ant-hill, they approach it with caution and ask ‘permission’ to pass by? Imagine Charlie doing that, with head bowed down and walking around the ducks, keeping his distance.
Have a fine weekend blog neighbours!
Warning: this is just another pug story

It’s spring time and we know that animals enjoy it …I mean really enjoy it. This is the third spring that I noticed the shortage of female ducks in our area.
Many weeks back when I took Charlie for a walk, we saw this lone female duck being chased by 5 males and she was just making so much noise (like a gang rape situation on tv) that my little four legged seemed to have understood her predicament, jumped to her rescue and chased the males away…and she flew closer to Charlie every time the gang tried to take her. It was unusual for a duck to come near a dog so seeing the two of them was a sweet sight.
Charlie was the man! needless to say, I was a proud mama.
But this afternoon, the very same female duck attacked Charlie. But it was Charlie’s mistake…or more of-MY MISTAKE- the duck has 4 ducklings in tow and Charlie was simply too curious to play with the little ones, mama got pissed! She snapped at Charlie’s face, luckily he’s pugnosed and she missed! I had his leash far too long for his own safety…engot ko!
We both learned something from that mistake though..if you’re not the au pair, leave ‘em babies alone!
Or any mp3 players for that matter..nooooo, thank you..I shall not buy them! Well at least I will not purchase one here in Holland.
The dutch law makers are really such ‘geniuses’ when it comes to TAX. They will come up with all the ridiculous ideas just to extract tax from the mass. Heard of tax over VAT? yep! we do have them here.
They’re now busy trying to get a new mp3 player tax approved. For every 1GB that you purchase, you have to pay an extra of €3.+ over the whole item’s amount.
Should I decide to buy (granting I win the lotto) a 6oGB Ipod that normally costs €459,00 in Dixons
then multiply that to let’s say, €3.50…the Ipod would then cost €669,00.
sweet mother of Charlie! :ngii:
Who knows, maybe someday they’ll tax the very air that we breathe.
