Yesterday was supposed to be my big day because I turned tipor, but I spent the day the way I predicted it while I was planning this Philippines vacation. I spent hours with my mouth open and hearing that horrible kzzttt sound of the dentist’s drill instrument. I had my old bridge removed because for the past 3 years I’ve been feeling an irritating pain in my molar that was already root canal treated. I didn’t want to go to any Dutch dentist back in Holland because I was looking for that TLC . From my past experience, I say that they (dutch) don’t have this towards their patients.
Anyway, I was right. The molar was infected due to crown leak and so it had to be treated again. So more drilling, foul odor, kicking when I felt pain because I was treated the first 2 hours w/o anesthesia that I finally asked for it afterwards….ah it wasn’t a party I tell you! But at least I got someone – my old dentist- who listens to me when I ask her to give me a rest or is concern if my jaw is locking.
And today, my lower bridge was removed (covering 4 front teeth) because these too need to be changed. Seems like my bad habit of teeth grinding hasn’t left my system thus my crowns are suffering. Grabe pudpod!! I ‘ve lots of crowns you see, due to my first dentist’s mistakes.
While typing this, I feel the numbness slowly fading off and well….I’m in ouch but I need to really eat since I’m taking antibiotics 4x a day, my tummy can’t take it. Tomorrow the molar that was treated yesterday will be treated again, so I’ m keeping my fingers crossed, hoping I wont feel a thing and that itś healing.
Ah, vacation anyone?

Gosh, what a way to celebrate your 40th birthday (kinakabahan tuloy ako for my molars…sumasakit na naman kasi). Akala ko ba life begins at 40? Hehe.

Hi Thess. Super belated happy birthday. Pinky and I are now back in the Kingdom but still adjusting to life here again. It’s been a week but we already miss the Philippines.
What a way to spend your birthday…having a dental operation! Anyway, was reading through your subsequent blogs and it seems that things are much better now. I hope you do get to munch on all those yummy foods we have back home.
By the way, it was nice to finally meet you (and the other LP participants) in person. We had so much fun that day.
