a bit overwhelmed…
Wednesday, October 11, 2006 11:04that’s how i feel right now.
My sister T’s tests result showed that she needs an operation ASAP..to remove her gallbladder. ‘Can’t we first try to put me on medication’ she asked the doctor ( she’s concern about facing a huge bill ) but the doctors said there’s no other option, the organ is in bad shape.
I learned about this yesterday before 7 in the morning when I logged on to yahoo messager and saw that my other sister, R, was already waiting for me and scolded me even that she’s been waiting for almost 3 hours for me to show up. Luka-luka ka pala eh, naghihilik pa ako nyan! Pareho ba oras natin? Hindi pa nga ako nagkakapag kape man lang. Anyway, she gave me a report and I couldn’t help but be overwhelmed by it all.
- T needs an operation ASAP, blood pressure is high, scared of the needles (who isn’t?), has to be roomed separately from other patients (that means ward is out of the question, duon gusto sumiksik ni T dahil nga nag-aalala sa hospital bill! Unfortunately, when she applied for a health insurance years back, she was flatly turned down. Reason was for having a high blood-pressure. Darn!) because she’s also recovering from Hep.A and at risk of complications.
I’m nervous right now and I can imagine my sister’s nervousness. I heard that my mother is also sooo stressed that I worry about her too.
I just don’t like it when a member of my family is sick..even if it’s the dog! If schedule (and her blood pressure normalizes) run smoothly, she should have the op this friday. Could you please include my sister in your prayers? Thank you so much.

I’ll pray for your sister’s successful operation and speedy recovery. I understand how difficult it is for family members when one of you is sick. But having family members close by will help your sister ease her worries. Having people who loves you always makes difficult things easier to go through. I realized that it might be twice as hard for you because you are not with them. Try to be strong for your sister. I’m sure the last thing she wants is for you to get sick because of too much worrying. Just keep in mind that God is always there to help us.

Hey Tess, my mother who’s already in her 70s got operated last year December, 2005, gall bladder too as well as cyst. I wasn’t there. A year before that she had angioplasty. I wasn’t there too but called almost everyday. I was worried and wanted to go home but they said that she was ok.
When we went to the Philippines in January 2006, you wouldn’t notice that she was operated. She’s quite doing fine. I hope your sister will be ok too. God bless you!

Hi holy mader of charlie. we are more or less in the same boat… pero take it easy na lang, minsan wala talaga tayong magawa. Ika nga sa site ni bengganda… shit happens…. all you have to do is “smile though your heart is breaking” of course, a little prayer alongside
FYI: My brother is dying of lung cancer… last stage.
