centipedy weekend
Like I’ve mentioned on my other blog (and other WS entry) how uneventful my weekend was because of the rain and cold weather, photographing outside was impossible, oh well, of course it was possible but I dare not risk my camera getting wet, so I was on a lookout for something to photograph. Then came along this centipede. I was on the way upstairs to get something when I almost screamed when this little creature came to view. My initial reaction was to splat it, but hey wait, I told myself, ‘ go get your camera first! ‘
On so I did. On the first shot I used my lensbaby and +14Diopter for close up. Lensbaby gives that blur effect around the chosen sweet spot. What a mean looking creature, isn’t it?
On this second photo, I just used my macro lens, no more periphery blur. For the centipede to keep still, I kept blowing soft air on it.
After the photo shoot? Well, he went straight down the drainage.
Call me Thess. Married to a wonderful Dutchman.
