Christmas Hangover
Christmas hangover..that I don’t have. Just tired, but happy tired. How’s our christmas? The 24th we failed to go to the mass so husband and I just stayed home and had a quiet evening. We didn’t had noche buena (yeah yeah, I know what you must be thinking BOOO!…a christmas without it? we’re a bunch of scrooge, what can I say!
)
Since I was never really a traditional pinay, each year I’d just make a special dinner on the evening of the 25th..that’s just it, dinner. In Holland we have 2 christmas days to celebrate…the 25th and 26th (no,the 26th isn’t like English’s Boxing day or Canada’s which involves charity…dutch is more of spending it with the inlaws or visiting the parents and having dinner.) My dad in law was with us the evening of the 25th and we had a quiet but wonderful time. It was a tiring evening since I was in the kitchen most of the time cos I made us a 4 (5) course dinner but I didn’t mind really, aside from tinkering my computer, cooking is my second hobby. You might ask why “4(5)?” course dinner, visit my food blog and you’ll see why. To do that, just click on the picture DIL and J’s cleaned out plates …and 2 guards guarding mine
I hope that all you my friends out there had a blast! I guess all we can do now, is wait for the coming NEW YEAR!

Call me Thess. Married to a wonderful Dutchman.
