E K again!
EK (Europees Kampioenschap) or European Football Championship has begun and it’s being held both in Switzerland and Austria right now. If it’s basketball in some countries that is popular, here in Europe it’s definitely football (or soccer, as others call it.) Dutch men and women in orange shorts and crazy looking hats are everywhere in the streets, showing their support for the dutch team that is competing this year. You can hear loud singing in bars with supporters, or see homes that are decorated with orange flags showing their supports…it’s unbelievable how fanatic the dutch people can be! Just this morning over a cup of coffee (which reminds me I have to look for another capresso since ours was broken) we saw in the news how supporters are flocking Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam just to fly to Switzerland, watch the game and fly back afterwards. because most of these supporters are working people and probably asked their companies for a day-off just so they can support their team. That’s some support!
For a change, this was a nice news in the morning rather than seeing news about new taxes that the government thought of.

hindi talaga ako nahilig sa football. nangigigil ako kasi hindi nila ginagamit ang mga kamay nila, edi sana mas madali buhay nila, haha!
