Enough with the useless talks!
My neighbours are panicking now! Many of them have placed their homes on sale and I think more will follow suit. All NO thanks to the plan of our city ‘ I don’t care’ officials on housing 40 drug (hard drugs) addicts in a vacated school less than 100 meters away from my own house! This vacated school is surrounded by homes and schools and a nearby shopping mall. Several talks between local residents and the officials have already transpired and tomorrow evening there’ll be one again (which I’ll be attending) but the pleas, now becoming less while protest becoming more and more..are falling on deaf ears. A website was created for this protest, it’s a shame there’s no English version but only in Dutch language, otherwise you might find it really really interesting.
Who would want a building (a hostel) close to your home where 40 drug dependents (and most have criminal records) will be living, not inside the building but most of their waking hours roaming freely outside, as long as they’re home at 10 pm? Who would be happy to learn that these addicts are allowed to use substances like hard drugs (cocaine) as long as they do it inside their room? After using then what? of course they will roam outside, all high and then who knows what they will do?! It’s bad enough that burglary is becoming rampant around here but this is disaster waiting to happen! And do you think the police will immediately come to your rescue if something bad happens? They ‘ARE ALL BUSY AND CAN NOT ATTEND TO YOUR PROBLEM FOR NOW’ Saan sila busy? Ayun, pinagdidiskitahan nila mga motorista at walang ginawa kundi mag-issue ng speeding tickets o kaya naman naglalakad sa mga parks at pinagdidiskitahan mga aso at owners ng mga ito, may penalty at issue agad ng ticket kapag napadumi si bantay! Yeah, we have poop police here! Dyan sila magaling basta pagkukunan ng pera ng tao. Dyan lang sila magaling! Tapos maglalagay ng hostel na puno ng kriminals na malapit sa 3 schools??! Sa mga batang punks nga takot mga pulis dito eh.
It’s tiring talking to these stupid officials. Why would they listen? They do not live near the planned hostel. They think they will never be affected. Because they know their kids are safe from the 40 addicts.
But if they think that we will not give our best to stop them, then they are dead wrong! We are prepared to take this matter to the highest court and if one or two or all these city officials be jailed for their wrong decisions and lies…YES LIES!! then that would be a bonus!
