Fear isn’t good

As usual my father in law phoned this morning looking for my husband. But since my husband was away and had a meeting (my father in law knew this but still…) I talked to him and asked him what was wrong because I heard something in his voice. I know that today is THE DAY. My husband called up the help services yesterday to follow up on my father in law’s case, to speed up his moving to a retirement complex (I’ve seen the place, I tell you it’s quite beautiful that even I want to sign up now!) So someone is coming over to my FIL’s place for a talk with my FIL and husband will be there too. Only we already know that my FIL doesn’t want to leave his house and been coming up with lots of (failed) excuses. That he doesn’t have money for it- immediately my husband took out his bank account and showed him that he’s got more than we do *lol) , that there’s my husband to take care of him - but my husband already explained to him that he can no longer fulfill his dad’s needs 24/7, that it’s pretty becoming too heavy especially he’s got a job that requires a help desk 24/7 from his clients too!

(oops sorry, phone ringing…must be FIL again)

yep it was FIL again!

It seems that we might have a problem battle in our hands coming up….wish us luck!

Its normal for a retiree to fear the place. Pero once he gets used to it he will enjoy na. I also saw retirement homes in the US and they have these sort of activities. I hope your FIL would adapt to the place soon.
