flesh is willing but mind is weak
I saw my last entry post’s date stamp and it was 8 days ago! :uhoh: I don’t know why it surprises me because I know what kept me from blogging. Work, duties and being sick. My brain stopped working but I was too busy to notice, hence the deafening silence around here.
Well I’m as busy as ever, especially now that my husband has left for the US for another business trip and I’m left alone with Charlie and my dad in law, the latter I have to regularly visit at the home care where he’s temporarily housed. Being without a driver’s license, visiting him is a bit difficult since I have to take a bus that doesn’t pass by the route so I have to walk a good 15 minutes to get to him. Since walking through a tunnel and a big park is also required I better not do it late in the afternoon because well, that kind of gives me the creep. And when I get to dad-in-law’s room there’s another challenge as sometimes he’s himself and recognizes me, but sometimes he’s having one of those bad days that he doesn’t recognize his family. Tough, and of course painful to see.
Anyway, I think I’ll be bringing him his favorite macaroni with ground beef this afternoon as I visit. I just wish this cold that I’ve been nursing for more than a week now would just give me a break! And the headache that goes with it, how I hate it. :nee: I also better not forget to check out a video card that I promised my husband for his old machine. I just hope the shop’s still open after visiting my in law.
