Hey Guys!
How are you all doing? I’m still in Thailand but at the Southern part. We’re enjoying our vacation (too much) that we feel so blessed to be able to do things we’ve only dreamt of the past 7 years…beach walking, fresh coconut juice, the SUN!, thai food, no work only play, thai massage…and for me to come back to where I consider my second home…Sofitel Hotel in Hua Hin where I used to work for few years, well let me just say that I’m having a blast! Seeing and talking again to some hotel employees that I used to work with in past is nostalgic. I haven’t seen them all yet. Some haven’t changed, still friendly and just happy to see me, and I them.
I had so much fun yesterday especially when I joined some thai guys (or ehem, gals) for a beach volleyball. I’m in pain right now, my body simply aches, literally from the tip of my fingers (2 with blood clot) to my toes but I don’t care!! I only thought that I could take it *lol* but it has been too long since I last played (21 years to be exact, in college) but never on the beach. Both my wrists are swollen now and I (pleaseee give meeeee!) need a wheel chair to go to our room, there’s no service lift in this colonial hotel. But once I recover I shall join the gals again for a set or two ;)
but for now, let me share more photos I’ve taken in Bangkok. I shall probably post the Hua Hin experiences on my next entry (or when time permits.)
still at the Chao Praya river..I saw lots of bayawak ’sunbathing’ (what is bayawak in english, btw?)
.

we also fed the catfish. ( approx 1 1/2 feet in length) ..you can buy a loaf of bread they sell in the river for 30 bath as feed…perfect for some photo opps.

our boat man, who did a good job maneuvering his boat, which our tourguide called ‘the james bond boat’ because it really was fast and I must admit I was a bit scared because the river is busy and the currents are strong.

The Lying Buddha at Pranon Wat Pho

more thai delicacies….no i didn’t try any of those, still quite full from a hearty lunch that day

oopss..my laptop battery is running out…see you next time…take care you all!!

Call me Thess. Married to a wonderful Dutchman.

Hey, Thess, so you are in Hua Hin now. Nice! We were actually in that area in January 2002 but we stayed at Dusit Resort in Cha-am. I like that area, Hua Hin/Cha-am, quite clean and the transpo from the hotel to the golf courses was really organized. I always recommend that area every time we talk to fellow golfers.
Enjoy!!!

SARDONICNELL: carebears works fine for me!
ikaw talaga! Sister Nell, how’s your getaway?!!
True, It’s so nice to see them peeps, just a while ago I phoned another ex-co-singer who now lives in Phuket married to a hotel General Manager, we were like, screaming at both ends of the phoneline ha ah ha!
ayy wag na pic namin ni hubby, bawal *lol*
SOFIE: I always think of you each time I step out of our hotel room, kasi may mini golf to see just below! I also like Dusit in cha-am though in general, Cha-am I find a bit too quiet for me…but you should visit and play golf in Huahin, especially since the King will live in HuaHin, they are doing a good job making the place really beautiful…I couldn’t believe my eyes with the changes, wow!
