How do I find Thailand right now?
Safe, warm, nice food, nice people and as you can see…itś busy busy busy! This photo was taken past 5pm, 2nd of September. That building is called Pratunam, a very popular shopping place for both tourists and locals. You can buy there all those popular knock off bags, t-shirts, watches, home decors and more. I bought a bag matched with wallet for my BFF Christa who is taking care of my dad in law and ferret while we’re on vacation.
I thought of posting this photo since I have been asked by friends if Thailand is safe or if they should cancel their trips because of the anti government movements that are happening once in a while. My answer is: I did not feel threatened when I was in BKK but enjoyed all the trips around it that we took, enjoyed the sight seeing and shopping immensely. But this is what I experienced and still experiencing here in Hua Hin which is about 198 kilometers from Bangkok. Only itś a bit quiet around here since many countries have issued warnings to their travel agencies to halt sending vacationers to Thailand. If you ask me, I think that’s a bit too harsh since the demonstrations are contained in the parliament/government area. But I must also warn you that sometimes, this demonstrators also occupy some local airports resulting to cancellations and delays of flights. The husband and I don ‘t mind it really, weŕe already thinking of what we’re going to do if we get stranded….that would mean more fun in the sun and good food lol!
Seriously I think this will end soon, because Thailand is losing millions of baht daily, because after all, tourism is their biggest income.
The decision to come or not, is yours.

Thess, I’m glad you and habby are fine and enjoying your vacation. I love Thailand too… it’s nice how they were able to preserve their culture. I wish Pinky and I could go back their one day. By the way, the food is sooooo good there.
