jolly monday, yey! (?)
I’ll try this one to be, though it’s gray and raining outside and cold! [sun sun bring us the sun!!] and if i may add, I am also a bit neurotic seeing birds flying around because of the avian influenza scare, eeekk! no matter how much i love seeing the ducks and swans by the ponds, sometimes feeding them, now i run away from them. but is chicken still on my menu? yep. (am i a certified looney or what?) whatever, my aim this week is to have a good [working] week and hoping to accomplish all that needs to be done. finishing them ahead wont hurt too.
****
how are they going to do that? i mean how do you face such anguish when you lost the people you love? buried under almost 30 meters of mud and still unaccounted for are more than 900 kababayans in Leyte. one police officer said he watched helplessly as the mud engulfed the school where his wife and 4 children were held. i couldn’t even imagine the thoughts playing in his mind while witnessing that.
all i can do now is say a prayer for them.
****
yesterday while doing the laundry, rather while waiting for the washing machine’s program to end, i decided to update my links and made a bit bigger than favicons face-buttons. so if you could please click my ‘link’ button on top or scroll under, right side, there you’ll find a short line whether i could keep or remove your gorgeous faces .. getting a reaction will be much appreciated, salamat po ng marami!

Hello thess don’t worry about the birds. The birdflu hasn’t reached there yet has it? Anyway, it is tragic what happened to Leyte. People are doing this to each other. When will people start caring?!
THESS Hi Tin! can’t help but worry eh. The weather is changing now and birds are migrating from one country to another, but you’re right…so far there has been no avian flu case in Holland. I hope it stays that way.
re: Leyte tragedy, good question.

if i remember correctly, this is not the first time leyte experienced such a catastrophe. i have to blame it on illegal logging. there were no trees at all on the mountains that made it easier to cause a mudslide. and all our officials could do was be sorry. they should think of ways to prevent another calamity such as this. natural disasters like tornado, tsunami and earthquake cannot be controlled but mudslide is reparable.
thank you for keeping a link to my blog. i appreciate that.
THESS if only these illegal loggers have conscience or even using what’s left of their gray matter…why not plant a new tree to each tree they chop? When i first visited the southern part of Austria, I was astonished by the amount of logs they use and yet I seldom see bald spots on their forests. Not only that logging is regulated, but loggers are govern by law to replenish what they take. Now that isn’t so hard to do, di ba? Filipinos, kelan kaya tayo matututo? :(

it is so sad…innocent people were buried under the mud, while illegal loggers (and imprudent politicians) are sleeping comfortably in their cushy bed. hay, naku! have a jolly week :D
THESS that is so true! kumita lang ng pera, mga walang pakielam sa paligid nila!

honga, it was really tragic… kawawa yung mga naiwan. there was a woman, who saw it from TFC in London, she went home, and 30 of her relatives are missing… :(
regarding the pic, you may keep that, pero hanap pa ko ng mas photogenic, hehehe :)
THESS 30? OMG! :-( God help her..
eh talagang i keep this pic of yours, kuha ito sa camera ko eh (karaoke night)
