JOOP is the name of my father in law. Dear friends, may I ask you to include him in your prayers? This morning his neurologist told us that they found a cancer at the back of his neck ( his prostate cancer is spreading, it was also chemo treated years ago) that puts pressure on his spine…for days now he is numb from waist down and can barely walk.
Few hours (this afternoon) after the result was known, he received his first chemo treatment, doctors are hoping to control the C growth or otherwise he will never walk again. The thought of him not walking again is painful…fortunately, I have a father in law who has a positive outlook in life, in pain but still positive.
Our family will have a tough time ahead, but we’re ready for that.

hi thess, may your father-in-law stay strong in mind and spirit during these times. my mom’s undergoing chemo too til sunday and has to do a battery of tests after—so i understand exactly how you feel. PRAYERS CAN MOVE MOUNTAINS and I BELIEVE IN THAT! stay strong and hugs!

my prayers are with you and for joop’s speedy recovery. this reminds me of my father-in-law who is bed-ridden for five years now because of stroke… when things get tough, let Him do the rest and yes, prayers can move mountain, I believe in that also.
