Radar + RAW
At around 9 am this morning I was surprised to hear my aunt on the phone, not just because it was midnight on her part and she’s usually sleeping by this time, but her voice was so sad.
So I asked her what’s happening? She said they needed their 4 year old labrador Radar ll be put to sleep. I was shocked because about two years ago at almost the same time, she called me up sobbing hard, to tell me that Radar l (another labrador, the first one…while the Radar who was put to sleep was a namesake) died from cancer. She said Radar ll had lost a lot f blood from puking and it was his liver that seemed suffered the most damage. The vet suspects poisoning. They are still to perform an autopsy to know the exact cause of death.
Ah, it’s so hard to lose a pet, that’s been your child for years. My aunt though sounding so sad was still okay, but her American husband was beside himself. Sobbing for losing another Radar. If indeed the dog was poisoned, I hope my aunt and her husband would try to catch the person or people responsible for it.
I couldn’t help but cuddle with Charlie my pug after my conversation with my aunt was over. I can’t imagine losing Charlie. I think I’ll go nuts!
A flower for Radar ll, from our backyard. I took this using Raw Image Format. I know that I have a separate photoblog but hmmm, not all of you are visiting it so I just thought of posting images here from time to time.

I’m sorry to hear that. Losing a dear pet is difficult. If Radar was poisoned intentionally, I hope the person behind such cruelty can be found.

It is always sad when you hear a pet you’ve had for so long being put down. People have become so attached with their pets consider them part of the family :(
Nice pic - very vivid color. That raw format file must be huge !

Thess, naku, sorry to hear about what happened to Radar 2. Grabe how people in western countries take care of their pets. I can’t imagine this happening in the Phils.
I never knew that dogs can have cancer! If ever that happens do pets undergo chemo or are they put to sleep immediately… just curious.
Hugs to Charlie.
