My Philippine trip has ended last Sunday. For the very first time I can truly say that I really enjoyed my stay in Manila. Unlike in the past (trips) I couldn’t wait to leave Manila just a few hours after landing at NAIA, probably I was focusing too much on the negative things that I see instead of trying to enjoy spending time my family. Well fortunately before leaving Holland this year, I told myself that I shall have a different attitude, that I will look at the positive side of things, of life in the Philippines and that it will be a memorable vacation because I wanted to celebrate my 40th birthday with my family (or with the dentist just like how it happened instead, but it was okay). What also made it a memorable vacation, is that I was able to see 98% of the family when we held a small dinner/ reunion. Together with my aunt who flew in from Las Vegas, we organized this reunion which was a success. Only now sheś demanding that I fly to Vegas to visit her to which I said ‘of course’ as long as she book me in one of those reno hotels and will bring me to the strips, give me money to play those slot machines and ring me to Nobu restaurant, *lol* .
Anyway, I think Iĺl continue this entry on another time since I am still on vacation, I am in Thailand right now, fighting a knee problem – water retention probably, itś swollen and a bit hard to walk. Well, I ‘ve photos to share too, so until the next time!
