At last! The past days we have been experiencing Summer and oh, what a delight!!

We have missed the warmth of the sun from this side of the planet! Of course people can never be satisfied so around me I would hear ‘this temperature is too hot, blah blah blah’ just as during winter people are complaining about the cold. Oh well, I am just enjoying this summer temperature because this will not last long. Besides, there are many of those who have real problems and I will certainly not complain our temperature, warm or cold. Hang on did I just say that? I was complaining a lot about winter on my past posts, haven’t I? Well, I complained that it was dragging on for too long, that’s another thing, right?

Anyway, here’s one example of Nature’s beauty during this season. Animals in the wild. I can look at them for hours and not get bored. Animals fascinate me. They’re such beautiful creatures. Devoid of any evil that men have.

* a silver gull diving for bread *

I must admit that I do not really like icy cold wind temperature during winter but I must also admit that I always wait for the snow to fall. And I’ve waited since December  of last year for it, and finally happen just 2 days ago.

Since photography is one of my hobbies, I find it wonderful to shoot outside when everything is blanketed by white.  But do you know what else excites me to shoot (with my camrea, ahem?)  Birds.

Most of them are migratory. Like this Silver Gull or Red-Beeked Gull. These birds have great hunger during winter so I always bring breads with me for feed.

In return they do provide me with marvelous opportunities such as this!

One Saturday while walking on the busy streets of Rotterdam, I saw this man and his colorful parrots, entertaining people passing by. He wasn’t asking for money or anything…I guess he was just happy to put his feathered friends on display and also let them enjoy the lovely temperature that is slowly rising on this part of the planet.

aren’t those birds gorgeous?! look at the colors….magnificent creatures!

And they are trained too! The man told me: ‘ready your camera because they are going to kiss’ and they did! The man then asked me if I wanted my pictures taken with  his parrots, he’ll take the shots..I said ‘sure’.

But why ruin these images by adding mine? :P
