Witching Hour.

I have always liked edited photos, you know those ones that are colorful and look like straight out of children’s book. I always been a straigthforward photographer. I’ve only used my editing tools to crop photos or it they need a bit of brightness…but never heavily edited any.

Not until I discovered apps. And how fun it is editing photos on my iPad2! I often use my iPhone4s now and just use the iPad2 for editing, much easier on the bigger screen.

And since I also discovered that instagr.am is where I can showcase these kind of editing, I think I’ll be doing more editing in the future :) Only instagr.am service has gone down to the drain eversince it’s was bought by FB guy. Yeah him. A lot of great photographers have left the service and if you happen to use the service you’ll know what I’m talking about. Have you seen its ‘Popular Page’? All you’ll see are ugly faces, manicured nails, butts, and all those horrible photos which FB is more known of.

It has become another facebook. :/

Daisy. Is her name.

One of the many flowers I have been buying lately to use on my low-light photography practise.  This gerbera daisy was one of my favorites because of the strong contrast it creates against my favorite black background. It looks life a face of a beautiful woman (well, at least for me)  :)

I remember one visitor who left a comment on my photoblog stating how she doesn’t like using black background for flowers. My take is that it really depends on someone’s taste. I can like what you hate and vise-versa.

Ah…let me just enjoy looking at my Daisy. Isn’t she pretty? :)

TULIPS. Gone Wild!

For years I was trying to find my ‘style’ in photography. I knew that I love doing macro photography. It poses challenges, many challenges, than any other ‘style’. Oopps, photographers who read this, that’s just my opinion, all right? :D :P Well anyway, as I was saying…I think I might be on the track where my photography style should be going. It’s causing me eyestrain even before finishing doing it (almost everyday now) per session but I am liking my results.

I love doing photography under low lights. Sometimes almost none at all in a dim room. Quite challenging. Getting nice results makes it worthwhile though, and that makes me happy :)

SPRING! It's just around the corner!

Yes it is! I can’t wait for Spring to officially begin at this side of the planet! I just can’t wait to shed all these thick clothes, thick shoes, and just feel the warmth of the sun against my whole body that is aching for it!!

In the meantime, beautiful flowers are keeping me company. They’re around all year long but buying them from flower shops are pretty costly thus market it is for me if I want them in our home on a weekly basis.

These tulips are part of the bunck that I bought yesterday. I was in the mood to do some photography and this was just one of the almost 100 that I took.

Well…I really just wanted to say that I’m excited for the coming of Spring!

The beauty of Spring!

This is one of the many  scenes that I utterly miss during fall and winter time! To wonder beautiful narcissus like these I need not go to a botanical garden because streets and motorways are filled with them! What a wonderful sight, isn’t it? Looking at their color makes you forget the long winter you had. I took this a couple of minutes walk from my home.

Narcissus (pronounced /nɑrˈsɪsəs/) is the botanic name for a genus of mainly hardy, mostly spring-flowering, bulbs in the Amaryllis family native to Europe, North Africa, and Asia. There are also several Narcissus species that bloom in the autumn. Though Hortus Third cites 26 wild species, Daffodils for North American Gardens cites between 50 and 100 including species variants and wild hybrids. Through taxonomic and genetic research, it is speculated that over time this number will probably continue to be refined. Daffodil is a common English name, sometimes used now for all varieties, and is the chief common name of horticultural prevalence used by the American Daffodil Society. The range of forms in cultivation has been heavily modified and extended, with new variations available from specialists almost every year.
