Tutubi, tutubi, huwag kang papahuli sa batang mapanghi.
Can you name one ”game’ that you enjoyed the most when you were a child?
Mine was catching dragonflies! After school, my siblings and I were allowed for an hour or two by our aunts (they took care of us, not my mom because she was always at work) to go out and and play. When we get tired from running around, we will settle down a bit by the tall grass and start to bug the bugs. Dragonflies, we loooove catching them.
here we are after catching and releasing dragonflies. Yes we would always release them, but of course some would not survive kids’ enthusiasm at times.

I still have the same feeling when I see dragonflies. But I don’t catch nor touch them anymore. I SHOOT them! With my camera of course
Nobody gets hurt and beautiful memory lingers.

Do you think my tutubi looks mad here

Thess, naku, didn’t we all do that way back then. Now, I seriously don’t see too much dragonflies in the Philippines anymore (at least where we live). Hay, I wish my children could have also experienced that… hmmm, now I think I sound so old… hehehe!
Yup, mukhang he does not want his picture taken!

Sa title pa lang natawa na ako! Hahahaha…
Hay… those were the days…

Thank you for sharing this childhood memory. I also have fond memories of catching dragonflies by its tail and letting them go when I was younger.
Great close up shot of the dragonfly.
