Just this afternoon, before dusk, I got a letter from the USA, and when I checked the name from whom it came from, I was so delighted to know that it was from my former classmate in College, Katherine.

Lalin, as I fondly called her was my seat-mate during our Senior year in the College of Optometry and after graduating from college, her family moved to the United States. A year ago, I received an overseas call from the USA and I was so delightfully surprised to know who was on the other side of the line. It was Lalin, who was calling from Nevada and I was wondering how did she get my telephone number? She paid a surprise visit to my family in the Philippines during one of her business-pleasure trips, and asked for my whereabouts. Lalin is now based in Nevada USA with her husband and two kids.

So, what was the content of her letter? Well, she is inviting me come and see her because she’s heard about my canceled trip to Vegas. she already made advanced Hotel Reservations for me, making sure that I will not reject her offer and I will surely come to visit.

Well, I still have to think about it, as I have also my work to consider.
