Wine, how to handle them.
I am a wine drinker. I drink red, white and rose. I or rather my tongue developed the taste for it about 15 years ago. Now I prefer dinner with a glass of wine, depends also on what’s served in front of me. One thing is for sure, I hate hate hate sweet wine with my dinner, ugh! How some people can stand drinking sweet with their food I will never understand. Anyway, do you know how to keep your wine in good condition?
By letting them rest on a wine rack. Never let them stand for a long time as the cork will dry out resulting to breaking it when opening a bottle. That’s another thing that I can’t stand when people serve wine with pieces of broken cork. I have here a link where wine racks of all sorts are offered. The Vine Store. They sell all sorts of wine racks in wood, metal, hanging wine racks, wall mounted commercial (like the ones used for restaurants for larger scale) and specialty type . I myself is eying this wine rack
this would look good on one corner of my kitchen. Since I am the only wine drinker at home (my husband’s the cognac type) placing 5 bottles is just enough for me. The rack is flat and does not eat much of space, perfect for a small space like ours. I always keep my old rack loaded since i have friends who come by casually, unannounced you might say. But I don’t mind, because they are wine drinkers and there’s nothing more cozy or as we say it in Dutch ‘gezellig’ than having friends sharing your wine with you.
